Anne Sophie Marsolais

MDCM LMCC CCFP(AM) CCSAM

Dr. Marsolais is the president and founder of CEMTA Inc.

She serves as a medical consultant for a variety of workplace environments and as a speaker on addictions in the workplace.

Professional background and expertise

Dr. Marsolais is a member of the Collège des Médecins du Québec, the Communauté de Pratique Médicale en Dépendances, the Canadian Society of Addiction Medicine, the American Society of Addiction Medicine, the Fédération des Médecins Omnipraticiens du Québec and of the College of Family Physicians of Canada. She is certified in addiction medicine by the Canadian College of Family Physicians and the Canadian Society of Addiction Medicine. 

Training

Her medical training started at McGill University where she obtained her doctorate in medicine and her master's degree in surgery. She completed her specialization in family medicine at the Université of Montréal. She is certified in addiction medicine by the Canadian College of Family Physicians and the Canadian Society of Addiction Medicine. 

Career

The first four years of her career began in remote communities working in emergencies and in family medicine.

She continued to work in the emergency room, the intensive care unit and hospitalization unit in the Greater Montreal area for 13 years.

She started occupational medicine first in the public health sector in the Laurentides and Laval, and in 2003, she entered the workforce in Québec, where she gained medical experience and expertise in different fields such as:

  • Aeronautics
  • Development/production/distribution and marketing of food products
  • Labour law
  • Teaching
  • Hydroelectricity
  • Hospitals
  • Municipal
  • Refining and distribution of petroleum products,
  • Public transportation
  • Retail

Strength

She excels with clients due to her ability to simplify the most complex files and to conciliate the sometimes-conflicting views of stakeholders.

Her efficient interventions and her friendliness put her client’s mind at rest.  

In the workplace, she develops medical follow-up procedures for employees struggling with physical and psychological health problems, including addictions to alcohol, drugs, and medication.

Dr. Marsolais is chiefly known through her work for her structured and sustainable interventions.

Versatility

She is also a physician in addiction and family medicine.

She provides services to various legal bodies. She identifies the pressing medical issues to determine whether there are conclusive grounds or not. She has experience in appearing before the court.   

She is also a speaker at national and international conferences regarding addiction in the workplace. In addition, she offers training workshops for clients in the public or private sector.

Éliane Hajjar

B.ing MD LMCC

Dr. Hajjar graduated from the École Polytechnique in mechanical engineering in 1984, and from the Faculty of Medicine at the Université de Montréal in 1989. In 2004, she began her career as a medical consultant.

She serves as a medical consultant for a variety of work environments

Professional background and expertise

Dr. Hajjar graduated from the École Polytechnique in mechanical engineering in 1984, and from the Faculty of Medicine at the Université de Montréal in 1989. She was a resident in family medicine at the Hôpital Notre-Dame from 1989 to 1991.

She focused her practice primarily on the emergency department at the Hôtel-Dieu Hospital in St-Jérôme, in addition to follow-ups in outpatient general practice, particularly for CNESST and SAAQ files.

She has served on the quality evaluation committee of the medical act of the Hôtel-Dieu de St-Jérôme.

In 2004, she began her career as a medical consultant, where she developed an interest in issues involving mental health in the workplace and she participated in roundtables to discuss disability issues related to mental health.

Currently, she gives medical advice for complex disability records. She answers to requests for medical assessments from managers by evaluating medical files of workers with problems of performance, behaviour and/or attendance.

She is responsible for everything having to do with medical ethics in business and access to medical information by third parties.

She collaborates with other physicians in writing medical advice, recommendations and practice guidelines in the workplace.

Dr. Hajjar is called upon to participate in labour-management Table de concertation in the hopes of finding constructive solutions and avoiding litigation.

She is a member of the Collège des Médecins du Québec.

Yves Lussier

MD LMCC

Dr. Lussier obtained a medical degree from the Université de Montréal and completed his residency as a general practitioner. He has experience and expertise in occupational medicine.

He serves as a medical consultant for a variety of workplaces and offers medical assessment services for pre-employment applicants.

Dr. Lussier is a medical consultant in occupational medicine since 1984.

He is a member of the Collège des Médecins du Québec.

Training

With a doctorate in medicine at the Université de Montréal, Dr. Lussier completed his residency as a general practitioner.
